Foil

Foil: a light thrusting weapon that targets the torso (including the back), neck, and groin, but not the arms or legs. The foil has a small circular hand guard that serves to protect the hand from direct stabs. As the hand is not a valid target in foil, this is primarily for safety.

About Us

Shrewsbury Fencing club

We are a friendly fencing club, that meets every Wednesday evening from 7.30pm to 10pm at Belvedere School Sports Hall during term time only.

Friendly warm ups and gentle footwork sessions to maintain or improve your standard.

We usually run 3 or 4 pistes with all weapons and every level is welcome!

Individual lessons are available

We charge £3.50 for adults and £2.50 for juniors (14 +), but your first visit is always free.
